For those of you who know the Haynes/Phillips family you know that the two family's have not only Justin and I in common but one more thing... An unbelievable love of hunting... male or female... young and old it doesn't matter you know that just the thought of November every one's ears perk up. The mear thought of November brings out a story or two about previous years. Stories turn into hunting gear which turns into preparation for the next season and how that 30 point is still out there just waiting for one of our hunters.

It wasn't a surprise to find a cute little Cabela package on our doorstep. Unknown to me Cabela's has a line of infant items... but Aunt Linda and Uncle Scott knew about these very special items meant for a True Phillips!

This is how our little baby Phillips now has its first camo hat... :)

1st Ultrasound

Am I really pregnant??? I asked myself this question several times while waiting for my first "real" appointment with the doctor. The earlier appointment was a lot of paperwork with the nurse. But THIS appointment now this was the one that would show us our baby for the first time, give us a due date and set the wheels in motion for our next 31 weeks.



Here you can see our little peanut at 7.5CM and 9 weeks old. Justin and I sat watching the screen in awe, amazement and for me a happy tear in my eye. Not only was I healthy but so is our baby. I have to laugh at how you already start relating characteristics but in this case my initial thought will prove true in later posts. This baby is a mover! The little head bobbed the entire time we watched the screen and as much as the tiny little arms and legs could they did. You see if you know my husband you know that he is a bundle of energy and rarely stops unless its time to sleep.

Honeymoon Update...

Who knew a flu would hit right before the wedding and stop travel to Mexico...

So, now we are going to be spending our honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica!
